The Research Center is the innovation engine of Clínica CES. From there, the generation and transfer of scientific knowledge are driven, directly impacting the quality of life of our patients and their families.
Thanks to the close partnership with CES University, we develop applied research lines, new pharmaceuticals, and biomedical devices, providing comprehensive support and technical guidance in every project.
En Investigación Propia se articulan todos los proyectos de investigación de la comunidad CES u otras instituciones que serán desarrollados o requieren participación de la Clínica CES. Desarrollamos proyectos internos, propuestos por el personal de la Clínica o de la Universidad CES, impulsando el mejoramiento continuo y el desarrollo académico.
Para la evaluación y seguimiento de proyectos contamos con el Comité de Investigación. Todos nuestros proyectos cuentan con el respaldo y la evaluación del Comité de Ética de la Universidad CES.
Our processes are supported by high-level Ethics and Research Committees, ensuring methodological rigor, operational excellence, continuous training, and the dissemination of Institutional Achievements that strengthen healthcare delivery and academic development.
Contracted Research
Clinical Trials
We have a Clinical Studies Center dedicated to evaluating the safety and efficacy of new medications and medical devices. We conduct Phase II, III, and IV clinical trials, as well as observational and real-world studies.
This work is made possible by a highly qualified multidisciplinary team, committed to ensuring the safety of participants and the reliability of the data.
In 2025, Clínica CES renewed its Good Clinical Practices (GCP) Certification granted by INVIMA, an accreditation that enables the development of research activities involving new treatments and medications in human subjects, as well as active participation in knowledge management.
Besides, at our Clinic, we implement Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) based on the best available scientific evidence, with the objective of ensuring safe, timely, and comprehensive care.
These guidelines are adopted and adapted in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and under the international methodology of the GRADE Working Group, being reviewed by multidisciplinary committees and periodically updated.

Estudios de Biodisponibilidad y Bioequivalencia
Clínica CES received certification in Good Bioavailability (BA) and Bioequivalence (BE) Practices – DELIVERY-CES in 2022. This certification allows participation in the development of the clinical phase of BA and BE studies. We are currently in the process of renewing this certification.
BA and BE studies make it possible to evaluate two pharmaceutical products (generally the innovator versus a comparator) to determine whether they are comparable in quality, efficacy, and safety.
